The Official Soundtrack

So, a little quirk about me. When I wrote Coffee Breaks and Complications there was a constant playlist, playing on loop in my head.

Weird, I know.

Every scene, every bit of tension, every moment where two characters are clearly not saying what they should be saying… there’s always a song in my head that I think perfectly reflects it.

For me, music does what words sometimes can’t — it sets the tone instantly, not just in this book but in life in general.

This whole book for me had an early noughties throwback feel to it and that’s exactly what I wanted to capture with this playlist.

Hopefully it’s the kind of playlist you put on and feel like you’re transported into the story.
